  12. "Guess'It" program on COMAL Today Disk

  14. #5 from 0.14 to 2.0.  Since that prog-

  16. ram modifies itself, that is turning

  18. out to be a tough chore!

  21.    Captain COMAL opened the all-new
  22.  
  23. "Beginning COMAL" room. No signif-
  24.  
  25. icant news from him.  Those of us in
  26.  
  27. the "COMAL" room spent most of our
  28.  
  29. time talking about the internal
  30.  
  31. differences between COMAL 0.14 and 2.0
  32.  
  33. (prompted by Jim V's conversion at-
  34.  
  35. tempt, no doubt!).

  38.    Captain C came back, after all the
  39.  
  40. beginners had left.  CUGUSA got a new
  41.  
  42. fast-loading routine called "SIZZLE".
  43.  
  44. Unlike Jesse Knight's now popular
  45.  
  46. "COMAL Quick", SIZZLE is public
  47.  
  48. domain, can be used to load other
  49.  
  50. programs besides "C64 COMAL 0.14", and
  51.  
  52. does NOT work on the MSD disk drives.

  57.     Robert S1 says IBM's (UniCOMAL's)

  59. PC-COMAL works well with MS-DOS 2.0+

  61. utilities such as GRAPHICS.COM, SORT.

  66.    Captain COMAL informed us that Uni-

  68. COMAL is not some large conglomerate,

  70. but consists of 3 programmers and 1

  85. led to a VERY technical discussion

  87. on interrupts, the INTERRUPT command

  89. in COMAL, vectors in general, etc.

  98. 2.1 was out.  Then he went to the

  105. articles, in fact!) in The Transactor

  134. BBS program and is Beta-testing it

  184. 2.0's ZONE statement -- some values
  185.  
  186. are ignored!

  192. emulates the FIRST and LAST FUNCtions

  194. from PC-COMAL, and the other rotates

  196. characters 90 degrees for PLOTTEXT!
